Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's

Okay, FINALLY! Major hurdle jumped, our home study is complete!! Apparently, though, our home study SW sent all notarized copies to our agency, so we wait... and wait... HOPEFULLY we will be able to send our USCIS docs on Monday.
Awesome!! I'm completely clueless as to what you were talking about in the last post (too many big words for me) but I'm very excited it's all worked out!
Major WooHoo Over Here!!!! Congratulations & welcome to a big milestone being completed & feeling that major sense of relief! whew! I'm not sure what state you are in but mine does not allow the HS to ever come to us unless our international one wants to give it to us (which they did). For you, if it is the same, you just call & tell them you are submitting your I-600a and they will overnight (okay we'll say should) it to your local USCIS office. Just wanted to help in case you have the same situation as me (you can submit your immigration paperwork without the HS... you have 1 year to file it with them (although the catch is the HS can not be more than 6 months old! ha ha
So send those papers if they won't give the HS right away (just include a little note to USCIS informing them of what you are doing). Stay on top of that immigration officer (email & leave messages every once in a while).
FOR YOU: She steps out onto the porch and breathes in the fall air. Somehow today the air smells sweeter, and seems oddly more nourishing for the soul. She looks up at the sky, a little chuckle rolls from her lips followed by a sigh of relief of sorts. Her mind is reeling with thoughts of wonder, with happy happy joy joy thoughts. As she stands there taking in all the scenery of the day around her, soaking up the colors, the crisp blue sky, the birds flying to and fro; she thinks.. "I need to blog this, I need to share my joy". With sure footing, She runs into the house, around the corner and straight to her computer. As she types her news she pictures her cyberland friends reading her words . IN the pictures they all have ONE thing in common. The subjects are all smiling at her, smiling as if they know and understand her triumph almost as their own in someway.
Congratulations hon. I of all people know how this feels after a rocky and somewhat helpless feeling road. NOW, go celebrate with your IRL friends too! lol... *hugs*
