New Rumors...
Well, another rash of rumors comes out about Chung Yi, the orphanage from which our agency adopts. This time, it would seem that CY will soon only be adopting out Special Needs and older children to most U.S. agencies (I'm assuming Canada would also be included in that, but maybe not). Upon confronting our agency about such rumors, we were told that the director of ASIA is flying to Taiwan next week and will be meeting face to face with the director of CY. They are hopeful that because they haven't heard from CY directly about any of this that they will be one of the few agencies that CY will continue to work with for Non Special Needs children. I'm not holding my breath. It will, however, be interesting to see what comes out of that meeting. Maybe a little honesty for a change? What a concept.

Exactly Courtney. I hope that your agency finds out good news. I tell ya.. this Chung Yi thing is just annoying right now isn't it????
I know how you feel. Not sure if you can tell by our blog, but if you knew me well, and knew our adoption journey, you'd believe me. I'm so glad that you are letting Him lead the way, and entrusting him with all your might! He does have a plan for you. Praying that you get some straight talk soon.
Courtney,
I'm sorry to hear this news.... this journey is definitely hard...there is never an easy thing with adoption ~ I hope you know that I know the discouragement you must be feeling...Just know that I'm praying for you and hoping that everything works out for your best. Blessings! Pam
I got your message on my blog post. I am so sorry. For your sake, I hope that your agency works something out with them- maybe they will "grandfather" those in process already? And if that isn't a possibility, then I pray that you find resolve and peace about what ever steps you take toward your child-to-be! I've had that defeated moment recently, and have been very blessed by those around me who encouraged me. And the empathy- whooo boy!, the empathy!- that came out of the adoption community has made me feel so much less alone! They know the hurts, the joys, and the WORK involved in bringing a child home- and it warms the heart!
Love and Prayers,
Tisra
