TRAGEDY! Makes you think...

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-fg-china-adopt20-2009sep20,0,3969070,full.story

This makes you really think about adoption in China. Who is a victim?? Will we ever know? Is LilyJoy? She is from a remote village...

Tragedy is right. And it seemed for so long that China was not among the corrupt countries. While there is never any way to know for sure, I would think that the "special needs" or waiting children are less likely to have been abducted. Really any circumstances surrounding an abandonment or relinquishment are a tragedy, however you obviously hope it wasn't out of the control of her birth family. What a broken world we live in...

Wow... what an article. I know that our daughter's foster mother even wrote a letter to her saying that she (FM) did not abandon her and she loves her. Adoption. A loaded word.

It is scary and extremely sad!!!! My heart breaks for those families who have been through such a horrific event.

How terrifying and evil! I hope those practices have really stopped like the article said, but it seems doubtful.
