Memorial Day Weekend

We had such a wonderful Memorial Day. We invited all our family over for a little bbq and not only could most folks come (with the exception of Steve's brother/family and my bro), but the weather was even downright lovely!! This is the first little function we've had that gave us the opportunity to really use our new backyard and I have to say, it I don't regret moving one bit!

Little Timothy was so desperate to be in a big chair that he fought off his fears of falling out (which he did earlier) and conquered the chair. It kinda looks like it's going to eat him, but if he feels safe, well...

Samuel ADORES his cousins. Everyday, he decides which one he will be for the day and if I don't call him by the right name, he gets quite offended. Here he is talking to cousins Monica and Marla, Auntie Cathe, and Bana.

Never a dull moment...

We had SO MUCH fun on our trip to So Cal!! We laughed, we cried (well, I did, anyway, when my beloved group talked me into going on California Screamin'-- I was hyperventilating getting onto the ride and during the ride, things got VERY DARK, twice.) and we all survived, including our two boys. They couldn't really understand why we would want to leave them. Anyway, it was a blast, but it's nice to be home in the rain and 60 degree weather again. *SIGH*

HUGE thank you to my mom and dad (Bana and Papa) and Steve's mom and dad (Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Dave) for watching the boys and my siser, Kari, for watching Moses while we rested. We are so lucky and blessed to have family so willing to help us out. We love you!!

Okay, I know the hat is dorky, but it was in the 90's!!

My good friend Kathy Wathy and I (this one is just for you, Sarah K!)!

Goofy was a little jealous of Steve... he wouldn't let me go.

And finally, the best part...

We Need a Vacation

Well, we've been hearing some rumors surrounding our adoption situation that we have no idea at this point how they will affect things for us. We're trying to keep our heads held high, though, and just pray for God to lead us through the confusion and questions. This might mean switching countries and/or going with special needs (which really aren't "special needs" as most people think of them-- cleft lip/palate, minor surgically corrected heart problems, etc.) We are awaiting some clarification from our agency, but I'll let you know as soon as I know. Please keep the prayers coming on this one as it is not an easy decision...

In the meantime, WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!! I am so excited. We will be leaving on Saturday with some friends of ours for a short 5 day break without the boys. I'm not excited about leaving them, but my friend Kathy that I am going with gave me the prospect that we could eat dinner at EIGHT O'CLOCK AT NIGHT if we want. And I imagine that ALL of my meals will be warm!! Whoa. I can't remember what that's like-- hope I don't burn myself.
